Accessing PHPMyadmin

I am using plesk and created one database from my control panel and also created a user to

access the database. Now my concern is how can I access phymyadmin. Is it possible to access

PHPMyadmin from Plesk? Or is there any other way to manage my database?

I believe that is something separate. And that should be installed on the server. Is it already there?

Never mind. I figured it out. There is a option in Plesk to manage databases through phpmyadmin.

Thanks!

Good luck to you. Hope you are experienced with phpmyadmin? Actually there is not something difficult in managing that

For those of you who don't know how to access it, here is an article on it:

Quote:
You must first login to your control panel via:

https://www.yourdomain.com:8443/

and enter your username and password.

You must have already created a database: See our article "How to create a mysql database"

Once the database is created:

1. Click on the "Database" icon in Plesk
2. Choose your database you want to manage
3. Click on the "DB WebAdmin" icon

A popup window will open for phpmyadmin (make sure you do not have a popup blocker installed to prevent this).

You can now edit tables, fields and data as well as perform backups of your mysql database from within phpmyadmin.

Yeah, Plesk comes bundled with phpmyadmin. It basically installs everything for itself, mysql, etc..No need to install anything seperately like with other control panels. Thats a good thing about it, but it makes it somewhat restrictive, and fragile if you want to change something which you cant do from the interface.

Just for the info, if you have a username / password and rights over a database, you can simply upload and configure phpmyadmin to your site and use it directly.
