Is there is any INDEPENDENT review site for the hosting companies?

We all know that the hosting companies have sites for reviews owned by them, so they can give them selves high rating, also the affiliates give false rating for the hosting company.

I s there is any independent site that review and evaluate the hosting companies. For example www.cnet.com is a good site for reviewing the computers.

For hosting companies review you can check with webhostdir.com and different hosting forums.

There are quite a few, you might want to check out webhostingtalk, it's not a review site but a forum, there are many valuable customer experiences with companies all over the world posted on there. It is also non-biased, I wouldnt trust review sites that much...but I guess there are good ones of those out there too.

For web hosting companies review you should refer the hosting companies forum. Here you can get suggestion from different people which are based on their real life experience.

Forums are more open than review sites. Even Cnet is not completely objective when it comes to hosting reviews.

Indeed, and the members can scrutinize any posts that seem fishy. 100 eyeballs tend to be better at spotting things than 2 or 4 that generally manage a reviews site.

They may be independent in the sense that no host owns the site, but the reviews, the uptime, etc. featured there must be taken with a grain (or a lot more) of salt. Hosts are or were given the ability to modify a lot of the info there.
