yes bassman I just looked at those ...they are all too churchy...those are the exact ones I looked at in the other post

Network Solutions had this one I really liked an I used it in the beginning it was pink/mauve and had a "cloud or sky scene on the top and a white dove flew across the sky and there was a sun that sent rays....out of the clouds. It was beautiful except for two problems The template was like cut in half...and you could only write on one side and there was all this blank space on the right hand side and everyone who saw it ...complained about how my website did not fill up the browser. Network Solutions has done this will 75 percent of their templates they make them only half the size of your browser...I hate THAT! so it limits the ones I can choose from. THen alexa rated me as a slow loading site...and somehow thats a bad thing.

So I exchanged it for another one.

I dont know what to do with a template any way once I buy one... Network provides all these little boxes and I just type in my message or use the box for pictures or HTML and its really easy. Computers for dummies!

I am just a bit over whelmed with the idea of moving...I know I need to...thats why I am here..to maybe learn more about it...and get up the nerve to do it. I dont want to lose my PR and I want to be able to pop on the computer and edit when I want and then upload to the net ...

Who cares what Alexa thinks. No one uses it anymore... only webmasters... hehe. How many visitors do you get from Alexa/month?

i have no idea ...I dont qualify for a site counter becus you have to be in the top 100,000 websites to get a ranking, I think I am down in the low 100 thousands...close to a million most likely

I only know about alexa becus of Amazon.com associates

You know tho I just got a PM from a nice lady about moving your site..thats scared me half to death...so IM NOT MOVING

alexa says 50% of sites load faster them mine, I dont think so. My site loads VERY fast. barely any graphics on my site...

yes well alexa said the same thing with mine that it loaded slow and I just had this one dove fly across the top of the page and one picture of my book. anyway I got rid of that and now my site has two pictures on the home page

No this nice lady I have been talking to about learning to do HTML and designing your own site says that when you move your site you have to notify all your back links so that you wont get lost by google....Thats a difficult thing for me to do as many of these links are people I dont know who have just picked up my website thru DMOZ...and dont have anyway to correct the changes, I can barely get DMOZ to correct anything I submitted corrections to them 12 times before they finally change my website title ...but then didnt change the description or anything else I gave them. these back links have all the old info...and no way to notify them personally ....so this is discouraging for me as this nice lady says when she moved she was gone from google for TWO WEEKS!!!!

Thats scary! my whole business would crash if I did that , she said it took a month or so for her pr to come back. I cant be off line for two weeks...

so Im stuck ....I will just deal with it.

btw it actually loads pretty slow, with 75 images, way above average.

you don't have to change your domain to stop hosting your site at Network Solutions.

I think 70% of sites load faster than mine or something... but it's a photography site... gimme a break.

thats if you decide to change the domain. You don't have to change your own domain. Every Domain has a setting called "name server", right now your is set to network solutions name server so they can host your page. Network solutions being the company you registered the domain with allows you to change this. So when you change the name servers to a seperate hosting company, they no longer host it and all you should have to pay to them is the cost of the domain each year.
But the address to your webpage will still be the same. That means backlinks do not have to change, and your page should not be affected by that (in google)
