how do you write a TOS agreement?

I'm leasing a dedicated server and want to host some sites... I'm not looking into starting a mega-hosting business or anything, I just know of some friends who'd be interested and while I've got space I think it's a good idea.

my question: every host you sign up for has some 5000 word terms of service agreement that you agree to. Is it really important for me to have one of those? If you have a hosting business, what did you use to develop your TOS? Can I just say, "I can pull the plug on you whenever I darn well please" and call it good? Can I link to, say, the TOS of my server provider, and make people agree to those?

There are a few companies out there that have pre made legal templates for webhosts, and other services. Search up on good, you might find some good sites.

do I really need some gigantic blob of legal jargon that nobody reads though? I don't feel like it's worth it, for what I'm doing.

Well First of all you have to comply with the TOS of your network provider. Then you have to know the industry rules, antispam policy and etc.

Then you need to define what kind of business relationship you are going to build with your customers.
