That list is based on number of domains (somehow). It does not based on quality of service.
I would certainly stay away from GoDaddy, Network Solutions, BlueHost, Yahoo! and HostGator based on some personal experience some of these firms (they are in the first 15 of that list) and the horror stories I have heard from reliable sources.
And.. 1and1 are #4 on that list. What's wrong with that if you want to use it as a basis of making a hosting decision on?
This thread is just going to end up as endless circle of bickering IMHO. Everyone is going to have their own opinion.
My decision would be based on recommendations that stated that the quality
of the service was excellent not on the quantity of sites hosted there.
