SEO hosting, what's your take?
Hi Guys,
I used the search function but couldn't get any threads covering SEO hosting.
So here's my question:
How many of you are aware of what SEO hosting is and what is your take on it?
What provider do you guys use?

Hello,
One things for sure. It's certainly a growing industry but personally I think Google are smarter than that. I am sure their algorithm can detect this type of activity.

I beg to differ.
With IPs from different C Classes, different Whois details, domains spread across different registrars, different nameservers, different rDNS for each IP, registration dates of domains spread out over a period of time. There's really no way Google could track your network down

You;re forgetting the IP address of the network card as well as the IP address of the switch right above the server.

IMHO, SEO hosting is useless. But it's a market, and if VPS providers can recommend VPS to anyone, so should seo hosting providers.
As for the IPs waste, it's a bit like the peak oil problem. Whether today or tomorrow, it'll still happen. We have to get ready for it, that should be the real focus. Good thing that unlike oil, IPs can be conjured out of nothing. Welcome IPv6.

OMG...I truly do not understand the term like SEO web hosting. Every web hosting company is SEO web hosting
I do not understand such a term...it's so popular to use SEO that everything what is in the Internet could be called SEO
Don't you think that it is just marketing trick to attract the people to use web hosting service which offers 'SEO WEB HOSTING'

I don;t promote myself as such. I don;t think most hosting companies do either.
We would have run out of IPs a long time ago if this was true.

there is nothing like SEO web hosting, its just a way to attract customers by web hosting service providers. so, i would suggest that go for the best web hosting services that meets your requirement rather than laying emphasis on SEO, as that 8is possible with all types of hostings.

I would like to add a little from what drmike already said about the IP matter. You should be aware that Google is smart enough to catch any identical pattern. They had learned a lot from abused webmasters with Google Adsense. They do apply the similar detect method to use with search engine instead of just adsense.
They can track you down when you logged in at least one of their services. If you also have your websites to being verified under same Google Webmaster Tools then you cannot trickery with them anymore.

They are as different as chalk and cheese. SEo hosting is hosting on same account, with different class c ip for each site. That helps in case you want to lross link your sites for SEO purpose.

I used to use SEOhosting.com which is a Hostgator company. I didn't have any complaints, but if what Puripong says is true then I don't see any good reason to get seohosting.
