Stuck!

I have a client ATM that has a domain set up. http://www.acecarsearch.com I have asked him a few times for the passwords and what not for the domain so that I can set up his email address and set up his site. But he said he doesn't have them. I asked what company he went thru to get the hosting so that I could email them and get the passwords sent to him.

He told me it was hostingbay.com so I emailed them and they don't have his domain on record.

So now I'm stuck I don't know who his hosting is thru. How do I find out???


Does anyone know?

simple whois shows the register is wildwestdomains.com. but since they are a reseller you may have to contact them to find out who exactly. Now also with the whois you got the name servers

Domain servers in listed order:
PARK9.SECURESERVER.NET
PARK10.SECURESERVER.NET

www.acecarsearch.com

goes to a splash page for www.mynamespace.com, which is a known wild west reseller. Great we found out there is no real hosting setup, just the free one that comes with the site when you register it.

This gives you 2 options after getting the username and password from the registar.
One: find hosting and change name servers for new host
two: use the free starter page they give and setup stuff on there (not recommended due to price and other constraints)

Ok thank you Jonathan. I did use whois but I got those three websites and I didn't know what one I should email.
