Hey guys, nice site you got going here.
I joined this site because I need to find a good reliable hosting company, and offcourse for as little money as possible, so anyone here know anything about this www.servage.net ? It seems to good to be true.
Also anyone with any expierience of pchighway.com ?

Took a really long time to load... and came up "page cannot be displayed"...
Doesn't look very auspicious...

This is a German company...

If their main site doesn't come up... I guess neither would their customer sites...

This company claims to set up most sites within 30 minutes. Well.. they took the money from my account in 30 minutes, but over 2 weeks later and I still did not have an account with them. Despite requesting a refund on 5 occasions, I am still waiting and have had to threaten legal action against them. Each time I write to their accounts they keep requesting the details which I registered with them so they can find my account. I DON'T have an account with them! They failed to give me one! They just took the money and despite repeatedly telling them and giving them all the details I possibly can, I just keep on getting the same lack of response. My advice is to avoid this company like the plague, the have showed blatant incompetence in all respects.

Servage is the worst. I'm from India and went for it 'cause my friend suggested. If the site doesnt generate lots of hits then are ok. For 6 months I was working on the site they were very kind then when I launched the site the first day I got 2,40,000 hits and by evening they had suspended the a/c. Can u imagine that? The bandwidth was well within limits and so was the space. I was told some crap about PHP load.

I managed to keep the hits within 2,00,000 since then but today within 2 weeks they suspended the domain itself & are asking me to go for a new one. Now they say CPU load. Everytime they come up with some new technical term to justify their incompetency.

They dont even bother to email or reply when the site is down. Neither do they suggest ways to reduce the so called load.

I lost my online business and customers due to them.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM LIKE PLAGUE.

Is there a place where we can complain the fraud & shut them down forever?

Excuse me but since when PHP load became crap? Do you want us to believe that to believe that you are the best php programmer and your pages were very very optimized and you are a victim of servage? Well, post here the average number of sql querys of your pages, the size of the database, the average size of your scripts, so everybody will now what experienced programmer made this post.

I have 7 dynamic sites on my servage.net account and last week I renewed my account because I am very satisfied with their services. When Servage will go down, I will be the first who migrate to another server, but for the moment it is a very good deal.

servage are ok, a client of mine was using them for a while. the servers were a bit slow in serving pages and the admin section is a bit sparse but they did the job.

Servage is actually a pretty great budget host. It's $7.50 a month...you can't beat that. It's actually even cheaper if you pay for a year.

I have 2 colo servers but I got a dreamhost account and a servage account for redundancy and smaller sites. I hooked a client onto servage as well.

Their tools and interface and pretty damn good. Their support has always gotten back to me within 24 hours or less.

Any sites that uses high CPU doesn't belong on shared hosting. Get your own dedicated for that. Even VPS clients get kicked for using too much CPU.

Servage is in Germany but they have answered my english support questions in fairly good english. The German servers could slow down your connection and load a bit but imagine how well your EU or Asia customers can load.

It's not expensive to give them a try and if they work out for your needs you can just leave.

On a side note from the time this was originally posted Servage has changed their hosting to UNLIMITED domains. Previously there was a max of 25 per account. That limit was recently lifted. Where else can you get unlimited domains, 75GB space, and 1110GB of monthly bandwidth for $7.50 or less per month! Currently I pay about $6 a month.

We opened an account with Servage.net on 07.12.2006, 2100GB traffic was more than we'd ever need. We had 30,000 pageviews with 5 hits each to the site producing less than 2GB traffic, but their measurement system it's 16GB. Still well within 2100GB/month. They sent an E-mail asking us to reduce traffic!

We responded within hours asking why since we were well within limits and what we could do, they respond WITHOUT WARNING with suspending the account, and we lost hundreds of clients while waiting for Registrar to update DNS (takes hours for DNS world wide to get updated).

Though a DNS change within 1 hour reduces traffic with 80%, they refused to respond to let our pages stay up. We asked if they'd kindly let our page up as a redirect, they simply did not respond.

More dishonest service is hard to find. If you have very low traffic, it may work ok. But their ads are incorrect and they should be closed by a court for such behavior. Nothing is worse than getting unwarranted downtime not violating any policy. Servage guarantees 99,98% uptime, but in reality they make sure you have downtime by bad intent...

The funny part is that they claim to host large sites with more than 3 mill. pageviews per day. But after 30,000 pageviews, the suspend your account without warning or even a small redirect to avoid downtime!

If you know a lawyer wanting to sue them, I'd be happy to assist. I'll now ask for the 5-day money back guarantee, but knowing such persons I assume I need to ask credit card company for a charge back.

Anyone who say servage has a good hosting service is a full of s%$t. If you want to lose your money then go with them.
