I done free webhosting in early july and it worked well till i had a spammer on the server and my server was shut down?

I want to ask did any one here ever made alot of money ot of it?

when me and friend done it ages ago we got money from googleADS and people donating, just to say freehosting is fun and its hard work.

We did free hosting back in the webmaster-forum.net days (a couple years ago), in exchange for links to the forum, and it did help build the forum userbase, but in the long run was probably a bad idea. People abused it, spammed, and abandoned their sites.

Most of the free hosts make money by way of banner ads and pop ups on their clients' site but in the long run it may not help as the clients may realise that they can make money themselves by placing their own ads on the site which would then cover the costs if they bought paid hosting, and possibly leave them with a profit.

I guess if you want to do it for fun, if you get a lot of visitors then you can make money of the ads, , which I don't think so, so many free hosting already. I don't think its worth the time to promote a free webhost.

I make a bit of cash from free forum hosting but not alot, though i only get a few clicks because i dont get alot of traffic, but if you did get quite a few clicks you could be makeing a profit i think. Also sometime there are people that will donate money to you.

i dont make much from my hosting, that why i have other sites which make money so that supports my hosting

i aim to do free hosting... it should be profitable by a few lil affiliate links (mandatory) ... and then there's the paid upgrades of course

Trust me Paid upgrades wont work, i seen alot who tried it.
