I prefer first GoDaddy and BlueHost. both are beat and my favourite as well, Proper and much comfortable and reliable then others. Most famous in the market recent time.

In the past couple of years I have read some very negative comments about Godaddy hosting.......
I think it might be risky to let them have your domain name and your hosting...

I'm also amazed GoDaddy got a vote.

How many people have tried a wide variety of hosts so that they can really compare them and make an informed vote? I would guess that most people just pick a webhost and stick with it unless they are very dissatisfied.

I have tried GoDaddy and Hostgator for personal projects, because GoDaddy was intolerable and I had to switch. I have also used 1and1 at work. That is the sum total of all the webhosts I have actually tried, so I can't compare them against Bluehost or any other host.

Only fours available and I gave a vote to hostgator. They could be the best in your choices.

Even though HostGator oversells incredibly bad, my vote would still go to them.

And lol at whoever voted Godaddy.

HostGator does oversell shared hosting but that can be done in a shared environment similar to the way cell phone companies can oversell text messaging and minutes. The main thing I look at is if companies are overselling in other areas like reseller hosting, master reseller hosting, vps, dedicated servers, etc.

From the given options Hostgator is the best one and Godaddy is the second best one (When it comes to shared hosting). 1 and 1 sux !

I have only ever had GoDaddy and never had a problem so I will admit I voted for them as well.

I can't believe that GoDaddy has 3 votes. Maybe this is great if you are not getting any traffic at all because it seems as if the minute you start pulling any real visitors in and if you are on a shared host with GoDaddy you'll soon realize their garbage.

I have used Godaddy shared hosting for over 2 years for a small forum. Not huge traffic but around 500 UV's and 100 + - members daily. Haven't had too many problems. There are couple of Database hiccups here and there which hadn't lasted more than 5 seconds.

Their Hosting control panel is pretty crappy and they change the interface in every few months. other than that I haven't had any other serious problems.

I think the best hosting is hostgator they are cheap and good. I'm using their hosting for a long time and I haven't got any problems. Also very good is godady hotsing, because it's comfortable to have the best domain hosting and web hosting in one place.

I'm at hostgator and whoa host, for some reason whoa host is faster from my neck of the wood, but I'd still vote for hostgator basically because their server status are never red, unlike whoahost

Why isnt Hostwinds in the voting list :-p

Or at least an "other" option where people can reply with their favorite hosts

At the time that the thread creator had created this thread last year, those the webhosts he must of thought was the best. You can still vote in the poll and talk about the host you voted for and another webhost that is very good.

Just remember no self promoting in this section.
