Okay, this is abit off-topic, when must one decide to go over to a dedicated server for your website - Lets say your shared hosting package offers "alot of bandwidth" and diskspace, or is the problem with how many requests the machine can handle(CPU power) ?

I wrote 90% of those. And coded the entire site.

I had them stored in 1. step 2.step in txt's when I was setting up servers for myself and others ~2 years ago and decided to make a site. I haven't added much anything in 6months to a year. The other 10% are copys of "install how-tos" from manuals of software, and a mix of other user how-tos that have been submitted to me. I used to spend a lot of time on the site updating it with 1 or 2 pages every couple days.. (Some of the 'industry news' are copy from PR sites as well.)

I`ve got a very large content site I`m working on now with my brother that will have over 100 articles with pictures written by my brother and I.

I was chatting with sitetutor in PM one day and I asked him if he knew a good host... he recommended one that had an option for $5/mo and since I've had it it's been good. No complaints

I believe if you read the responses that a lot of folks voted on the total cost of hosting per month, not the per-plan cost.

I think I paid 10 Dollars for 3 months hosting. It has full support, someone is ALWAYS on the chat line over the computer, and always answers. I get about 1000MB and 5GB space.

$8/mo for a reseller account at dreamhost (tons of space, unlimited domains, and tons of bandwidth). Great servers, and I would recommend them to anyone.
