ipowerweb & lunarpages

I am looking to spread some of my websites out onto other hosts. After doing a horrible review of HostNexus, I tried them out for a year - didn't even stay with them for a year and moved the site back onto my own server.

I have tried both LunarPages and iPowerWeb in the past, to host www.webmaster-forum.net when that forum was active, and it went down all the time and was timing-out all the time.

Now I see a lot of folks saying iPowerWeb and LunarPages are good, and so I am looking for feedback. Anybody try them lately?

I have a lady I do work for who has her hosting with ipowerweb. It works.... Only bad expr I had..... One day index.htm get clobbered by something. It had a line added BEFORE my 1st line of code. The line of extra code did not mess with FF but IE......

After several emails, they finally said the site was hacked due to a poor password. I will admit the password they had was poor! But I'm sorry, if you take the time to hack a site I dont think you are just going to add one line (the jail time is all the same.....).

I strongly recommend not using ipowerweb, horrible rep on webhostingtalk etc, lunarpages is good but also pretty big, their support should be much better than ipower.

before you host with them.. make sure they are on a different DataCenter... or else.. you would be using the same range of IP... and that would be defeating your whole purpose, no?

Did you move anything to Lunarpages yet? I wanted to know what you think of them. I'm starting to lean toward them for several site I have.

I know Max is a cool guy, just don't know if he's still in charge. I'll probably try it out in the next few days.

Is this with Lunarpages or Ipower? I like the reseller offerings at Lunar..... Just looking for some feedback too from other users.

I am using lunarpages about a year now and I'm very satisfied. Their support is very good and the server has low downtime.

ps. my site is very active.
