That was really weird. Every time I tried to access my domain(s), the domain parking service http://searchdiscovered.com had my domain parked!

Here is the second chat I had with the Hostgator Rep.

Perhaps a hicup on hostgator server.

Shaw caches the net (so does Telus) and doesn't update frequently. When did you originally park them?

May be server problem. Stay online, they will be back.

Thankfully I have set up round robin DNS on my server and I have 100% uptime even when the host goes down. I am monitoring their server for downtime and even received an SMS alert on my way home... thankfully my setup is infallible. No downtime for me.

I never had any of those domains parked for a long time (GoDaddy), they've been up for a while (years).

In fact first when I tried to access my web sites and cPanel I got the generic Google semi blank screen stating "Cannot find domain xyz.com". Then I would get that domain parking page, then half my domains would show up with my content and it would then start switching back and forth with the parked domain. Very strange.

It's curious to note, the first time I contacted tech I was the 1st in the queue, that second conversation I was 166th over a 5 minute time difference. I don't know if that means anything, just suspicious.

not that this is always going on...but in my exp working with sites on hostgator they have a tendency to move things, power down or reset at will. I had a client moved to a new server, they didnt tell the client, and lost several files which I had to locate from a back up (do not assume they have a back up for you) they have also upgraded PHP rev's killing a few client sites for me.

got to stay sharp with them but they seem to be better than alot of places.
