Opinions on netfirms paid hosting and domain reg?

As in the title - looking for feedback on netfirms paid hosting and domain registration.

Specifically -

Hosting : How easy is it to use / set up?
General reliability.

Domains : Do they allow transferring domains to another registrar for renewal?

Thanks

I am signing up to this thread. When ever I have found a good domain or hosting company in the past I have always got stung at renewal times.

On more than 1 occasion I have had hosting accounts with 10 gig a month bandwidth limit. I have used between 6 and 8 and got banned for abuse as I am using more bandwidth than any of the other hosting customers.

We had a clown on here a few weeks ago who said we could get 100 gig of bandwidth for $4 a month. But it would cost $4 for every gig extra bandwidth we used as bandwidth was expensive.

Quite a number of the hosting offers are based on overselling - they offer huge bandwidth but don't expect the customer to use more than a fraction.

The real catch is if they don't release the domain name - you lose all the momentum you've generated, or end up having to pay through your nose.

I always advice people not to get hosting at the same company they buy their domain from. Even big companies like Yahoo suck in that department.
