Great Free Hosting service i4host.net
Hi,
I've been hosting with i4host.net for couple of months now and I must say that they suprised me. Though it's still early there was no down time, and the activation was instant, better then paid hosting.

I feel really bad about questioning this post, and maybe I am way off base here, but how often do you see a reputable hosting company using the private domain feature from Go Daddy?

It's a problem for me, too. I don't see legitimate companies using domains by proxy. It just smells wrong.

What's wrong about private domain?
I just using their sub-domain option for various testing with my scripts.
The private domain issue doesn't matter since it's all free there.
I must say again that i've been with them only two months but so far so good!

Yeah, that's funny. Funny as in suspicious. Usually when people come in here speaking highly of a web host without a website in heir profile, a little research shows the poster to be the actual host.
If I google your username I come up with stuff like this: http://www.gidforums.com/t-9504.html
Makes it look like you are less customer than you say.

Most of the links are broken on the front page, yet a hidden link is not, but you think people should trust their domains with this company?
Respectfully, it looks like their might be more to this story than you mentioned in your intial post.

How can I change servers if i have to I did keep a back up of my page info or if the owner of this server sees this can he/she tell me when it will be working again??
What happens if this server dissapears fopr ever does it mean I have lost my url name os sukanyacondo.com?

This is a good example of crap host spamming a forum and going out of business in no time flat.
I swear the hosting business is full of non-businesses.

i4host services
Hi,
Our problems were due to apache version we operate.
There is not much documentation of this bug , we had to resolve the issue by ourselves that's the reason causing the delay.
We are reliable company, we have no intention to cancel our free service now or in the future, further more, we always try to deliver our clients more free tools, resources and support.
We consider the service of i4host.net as good and reliable,( not as the forum admin suggests ), and we have lots of feedback to back it up.
Please consider the post as invitation without risk to try our free service.

Yes I agree
The service has been good until this recent blip and until then I had no problems. What they offer is extraordinary and i am happy to use them I would recccomend them and NO i dont know them in any way. My site is sukanyacondo.com If they keep this up I would think they will dominate the market.

Your server was down for how many days? And today as I speak it's down again. Sorry but I don't consider that good and reliable.

Yes but
hm you seem a bit harsh on a free service with a few teething problems ? Im sure they w ill do all they can it get it back up soon.
They sent me an e mail to say they have no intentions to stop this service.
Maybe in a few years they will all be free servers. They did also tell em the problem was ongoing and not permasnently fixed so I was expecting more propblems. I still say its a good offer once they have ironed out the problems .

Sure thing, but right now I seriously doubt their professionalism. Not good for a host to be down so long.

yes i would agree
To an extent but its not too importamnt for my business at the moment. It was back on last night but like you say gone again now. The guy did tell me the problem and they were trying to fix it I hope its soon? I will keep you informed. After all Im sure if yuo found a free reliable server you'd be chuffed to bits. I will stick with them for a while until they sort out their tething troubles.

HoWdY!!
Well .. what are the problems now?
I've been trying to connect to your server for over 3 weeks now .. nothing!
You don't have a contact email, business number or address or anything posted anywhere!
If you REALLY are a good service .. then get back to me and explain the problems and then tell me the expected time that I must wait for your service to work again!
hmmm ... 99.9% uptime .. I think NOT!
