sub-domain problem

I am sorry if this is not the appropriate forum for my topic and request moderators to move it to one if they find it so.
Now coming to my problem,recently i registered a domain mywibes.me.I had intended to use it for my site and its sub domains xyz.mywibes.me to other pages of my site like for example video.mywibes.me for video download page of my site.I used * for wildcard entry in my A record but now when i try to access my site via this url i.e video.mywibes.me or mobile.mywibes.me etc it takes me to some other sites.I thought all sub domains would direct to my site but this is not the case.why?please guide me what am i doing wrong

You can adjust it. Do you use Godaddy for it? It is a simple re-direction. Let me know where you have hosted it

thanks for offering help.The domain is registered with dynadot and i have hosted it at mywibes.com,a free site host.I delibratly registered this domain to take advantage of my host parent domain because all sites hosted on it use default domain which are username.mywibes.me

What control panel and Registrar are you using?

I have hosted sites and sub-domains for over 15 years and I have never manually modified an A record or any other for that matter. I let the control panel do the grunt work.

You'll need to make an A record at your host for the mentioned sub domains as the server is not responding to quires for those sub domains.
Your A record should look something like

YourSubDomain.mywibes.me. A 46.4.88.207

Take note of the . at the end of the domain name.

What.. how can your host assign username.mywibes.me when mywibes.me is registerd by you? SOmething wrong here.

Use any online DNS tools for clarification. I dont think I understood your problem at all.
