If you were remaking your decision of what host to use, would you change?

If you were remaking your decision of what host to use, would you use your current host or chose a different one?

-Thought it would be interesting to see peoples feelings of satisfaction vs. feeling like they are stuck with a host-

I would say that if customers requirements are fulfilled by any host then customer would never think to go for an other host.

Agreed, and even if the current host has a problem here or there, people generally don't like change and will stick with one host until they are convinced they absolutely have to move.

I personally would stay with my current solution because I am satisfied and very happy with what I am getting.

I did the hard work and researched what I was paying and what I was getting. I tried several hosts and one just stood out for me.

That's difficult to find a really trustworthy host and if you have founds it, stick to it forever.

If a web host providing good customer Support and offering reliable hosting services then it is great and trust able web host. I am happy with my current web host and there is no problem with the services and support.

If you have no problems with your current host, I see no reasons to change it.

You know Snakeair has offered up several posts both here as well as his blog ( http://newbizshop.com ) that offer an excellent overview of overhauling a website including hosting.

Changing host would be last thing in my mind.

Things that would prompt me consider hosting change:
  • Frequent errors
  • Downtimes
  • Support delay
  • Speed

If the current hosting provider is not good than yes, I will change my hosting provider as its one of the essential part in our business and no one like business goes down because of others mistake but I am very much happy with my host therefore currently not thinking of any change.

I am satisfied with my current set up so obviously it wouldn't make sense to move.
I know of some other people who use big name hosts I won't mention that are too lazy to do a backup and migrate their data so they feel stuck with the host.
