Hi Divya and welcome to V7n Forums ...
Well the amount of bandwidth actually depends on the content of your site and your traffic! If your site generates a lot of traffic, it maybe using a lot of bandwidth! But if you're a started I suggest 2 GB of bandwidth should suffice for the month!

Hi,
Entirely depends on your needs. If your site is graphics intense then a
good amount of badnwidth is needed, but you see many hosting accounts
offering bandwidth in the tens of Gbs, 20Gb 30Gb 40GB, which really is
overkill in most cases.

When your site gets popular it can use quite a bit of bandwidth specially when you have lots of graphics, and there's the searchbots that take some bandwidth too. (on one of my sites searchbots traffic alone uses avarage of 17 GB/month) I wouldn't start on anything below 10GB/month personally which leaves some space for expantion whith a new site

Yep, that's right bandwidth depends on the content of the site and its popularity. If the site is not having any type of graphics or videos then 2GB to 5GB would be a good amount of bandwidth to start with.

I think it is difficult to recommend a specific minimum amount of bandwidth, since it depends on how you design your site, your target audience, and the number of visitors you're able to attract to your site.

There are MANY hosts that allow far more bandwidth than you'll ever need starting out at least. If you're really concerned, you could always go with a host that has packages available for upgrading into larger space/bandwidth options. Good luck!

What kind of site are you looking to host? As everyone has said, it all depends on what you're looking to host.
