i4host.net Disappeared

Hi I know very little about servers hosts or anything else connected to proviving a web presence. What I do know is I like to use microsoftfrontpage and have been using this to build my own website which has been hosted by i4host.net but they now have dissapeared????
So my question is this can anyone help me find a new host ? I just looked at fasthost?? £3.99 a month I dont need a lot of room or have a lot of traffic. I had saved all my webpage data in files so if i could send them to someone here maybe they could upload them to the net for me and then I can carry on as before but I have no idea how to do this?? I think i will have to open an account with "fastnet" first then hand it all over to someone else to set up for me . Once its done I can happily edit it with ease but how its done is a mystery. Anyone able to help me ????? thanks if you can Paul ,
my website was www.sukanyacondo.com and was hosted by i4.net or is that a server eeeek see i know nothing its was registered for 2 years with another company called www.freeparking.co.uk they are ok. I hav eno rpoblem with them . p[lease mail me pmrose18@hotmail.com

Hm looks like theres no help out there then?

My server has now fixed the problems and I would reccomend them . At the moment they are not taking any new business until they have fixed the problems they had 100%. www.i4host.net very free and offer a lot they should put the others to shame if they continue thru this teething period and no i dont know or have any connection to them. the page they host for me is www.sukanyacondo.com after seeing what soem sites chrage for hosting its abit scary usually they want another£25 for frontpage extensions as well!!

It's more reliable to pay for your hosting and the servers usually aren't overloaded like they tend to be with a free host. Good luck with your sites!

Hi Colleen

Im new to this but from what i can see many servers need to lower their prices, some wanted to charge me about £5 a month then compulsory sign up for 1 year and then another £25 for frontpage extensions. I had no problems with i4host.net until the last two days and as its a free service i think its pretty darn good. Remember when net providers first came out they were all expensive but as more joined the prices tumbled. I wsih i4host.net a lot of success with this how they get any revenue form it I dont know but I will sure reccomend them from now on if they turn out to be truly reliable will you really stick with a paid provider?????

Check with Hostww.net. Very affordable, monthly payment option, you don't have to pay for a year upfront, free set-up, FREE front page extensions with every account. Very reliable host, I've been with them for almost a year

Don't use FastHosts

I would suggest avoiding FastHosts - in addition to their recent outage problems (single point of failure), I recently had a card debited with an unexpected charge after responding to a mail they sent me for a FREE trial. They are refusing to refund and the customer service / complaints procedure is pretty poor... I expected the poor service - but not the 'attitude'.

I'd love anyone who's influenced by this to post back what business I managed to divert away from them. I know I was stoopid getting caught out and what they did was only immoral, not illegal - but next time - it could be you.

If they know it costs them to be nasty - maybe they won't try it on like they are doing with me. It's the most expensive zero bytes of web hosting I ever knew.
