lots of budget or low price hosting, dont use cpanel. its too costly for them.
godaddy uses their own panel, hard hard to understand what their panel design.
well, value is there. why pay so much for it. if cpanel is a must, go for hostgator.com. get a [url removed], and you get $9.94 rebates. This is the only rebates available in the market. if want more hostgator rebates, you may try [url removed]

Cpanel is good, but for most a smaller one will work just fine. IXwebhosting is reasonably okay from whatever I hear.

i have a business plus plan with ixwebhosting. The control panel that they have is easy to use and simple. I have had no problems with them. The business plus plan allows 8 domains each with a unique ip.

Cheap is good if you can find a reliable provider. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Here is a new unannounced policy at my once favorite webhosting company ixwebhosting.com
We are very sorry for the recent inconvinience to you. But there is a sort of limitations on sending bulk mails:
Message will not be accepted by mailserver if total number of recipients, listed in To, Carbon Copy and Blind Carbon Copy fields exceeds 25 (It will be rejected as “452 4.5.3 Too many recipients”)
By default, it is allowed to send up to 300 messages of the same content per day. Further messages will be dropped without any notification (mailserver will issue afformative reply, but message will be dropped)
By default, it is allowed to send up to 5000 messages of the same content per month. Further messages will be dropped without any notification (mailserver will issue afformative reply, but message will be dropped)

I have an IX account now. It's been OK but not a lot of perks. They have done a lot of upgrades recently.

I use IX, along with a couple dozen other web hosts (westhost, lunar, bluehost, etc) and IX isn't one of my favorites at all. The control panel is lame.

They aren't even close to one of my favorites either. I'd say Lunarpages is the best host I have right now, followed by HostMonster. John, I agree with you. I mainly only use FTP with my IX account. When I have to use their control panel I'm reminded of how limited my account is with them.
