Godaddy or hostgator?

I'm in plan to take VPS hosting service for my blog, which has quite huge file setup and database. In further looking i fell in dilemma which host to go for, as some people say godaddy is best and some other say hostgator. But i didn't get my exact answer why anyone is best.
Some answer that i came across is hostgator is EIG hosting, i don't know exactly it mean and effects in future.
Expecting some valuable suggestions on benefits and flaws of both hosts.

I've been using bluehost India for a while now and found that it's not worthy of the bad name its US service has earned itself. The page load times have improved (used to take 8 or more seconds on Godaddy, happens within 5 seconds now) & the customer service is responsive. I once contacted them for an issue & they came back within 20 minutes .

If you are looking for reliable service with good support you need to rethink of your choice , check there twitter update lots of support complains. Again if you are looking for managed VPS hosting DigitalOcean wont help.

I prefer to use not so big companies for hosting websites as they provide not so good support.

I have done VPS with Goddady for about two years now.
You have to be very careful about the security.
If your server is hacked, you pay $150 if you need
to restore their backup. The support is getting better now.
I have never used Hostgator.

I think GoDaddy is better. There is a lot of security there! Success!

if you want to decide on between GoDaddy and HostGator?
take godaddy because of their customer support is very good. in case of price also very less for 1st year.
currently, they offered renewal customers also 35%off.

if you want best hosting provider in India
take Bluehost, it very best services in India only.
