Bandwidth is the amount of data your visitors are having sent to them by your website. Number of visitors is one factor but what the visitors are getting from your site is what matters most. Consider the file sizes of your content. Video, then audio and pictures. Text uses the smallest bandwidth..

If you have a small business or informational website with a limited audience of 5,000 or fewer visitors per month, you probably don’t have to worry too much about bandwidth. Almost all major hosting companies like Pantheon, BlueHost, HostGator, GoDaddy, etc., can provide all the bandwidth you need within their cheapest hosting account. Some web hosting companies like Amazon AWS only charge you for the bandwidth you use. These hosting companies also make it easy to upgrade should you need to. Businesses that have “bandwidth-heavy” content such as video, audio, online apps, large images, and businesses that have a lot of traffic are the ones that should really be concerned.

The higher your bandwidth package, the more people can visit your site at the same time and fully enjoy the peak experience you created for them.

Well every bandwith is limited,if not by amount of data on monthly basis than by network speed.General content websites don't eat too much bandwith,if it is file sharing or multimedia/streaming website than it is completly different story.

People here won't understand '5lakh'. You'll have to say 500K. Those giving advice should've asked for a clarification

Look at your current usage and double it at least, triple is even better because coming half way through the month and running out of bandwidth is probable the worst thing you can do for your website, your users will probable desert you, if they see it isn’t online for a day or two.
