Host for Proxy site

Hi
I want to setup a proxy site i need a cheap host for it i don't need any kind of feature even 10MB with only CGI or PHP would be enough but i need to have a lot of bandwidth and a host that allows this kind of scripts , even a cheap VPS or reseller account might work!
does any one knows such a host?

A host will not work for a proxy. They will kick you off in a matter of days.
Proxy's not only require a lot of bw but a LOT of system resources.

You will need your own dedicated server.

CPU intensive sites aren't really suitable for shared environments like shared/reseller hosting because they slow down everyone elses sites at the same time. So, initially you can host your proxy site on a vps but once it start using more CPU resources then you have to move on to a dedicated server.

Thanks for all replies , well about what kind i should get i knew from the beginning that VPS and Dedicated are the best for this but i contacted some hosts and i got a little confused cause i found a share host that would allow me to do it and some VPS hosts that wouldn't allow to install a proxy on the server!that's why i though i would ask here and at the time my main problem is to find somewhere cheap because i want to see how would be my earnings from the ads and the visits if i start a proxy site and after that if it worthed it i would get a dedicated but what i need at the time is a host of any kind that is less than $20 and allows me to install proxy scripts such as PHProxy and CGI-Proxy.

To earn any real money you will need a dedicated server. You may start making 20 cents a day on shared then they will cancel your account.

You simply can't do the traffic you need on a shared server to make money from a proxy website.

You can start with a vps and then you can move on to a dedicated server.

A dedicated server will be needed when your site becomes busy.

Since I've hosted a proxy on my dedicated server, I've noticed it takes up a lot of Memory. - I don't think a shared environment could handle a proxy, especially if the server is clogged up with other accounts.

A VPS I would say is for a starting proxy...you also do not want to install cPanel/WHM as that takes up a lot of server resources...and it's not worth it if you're only installing a proxy...seeing as cPanel/WHM would not be necessary.

Hello,

Proxy sites uses more CPU and RAM as they had to download and process each website before they are displayed to the end user. Through Dedicated you will get what you pay for!! But for now to start and check you can go with the Virtual private servers.

Thank you.

You will need a dedicated server if you want to have a stable performance of your site.
