Problem With Domain Transfer

Hello,

I've been using DailyRazor.com, as one of my registrar and hosting for a while, i've had troubles with them and they don't seem to support me at all.

I've tried to transfer one domain that i bought from them to my other registrar and they cancelled the transfer without giving me good explainations about it,

what are the solutions to that? What can i do?

Thanks for any ideas, if you need proofs of what i advance i'm going to provide it.

I think you should tell them your honest feelings about their service. I experienced that the honest way is the best way in most of the cases.

I've tried that but they keep saying to me that they forwarded my issue to another support guy which is totally pathetic im my humble opinion, i told them enough what i think of their service, i can say it again: Their services are definitely not professional at all, their support are not supporting me at all, and furthermore they don't help you whatsoever, you can argue with them for hours they don't give a damn about your problems.

Are they a reseller for enom or someone else? Try going higher up the chain.

Yep, i've tried that already and it hurried the process of giving me the EPP code to allow domain transfer. Yet they don't seem to want to transfer the domain. Here is part of the conversation:

ME:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Namecheap.com
Domain Transfer Cancelled : XXXXXX.com
Date: 3/27/2007
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Patrick,

This notice is to inform you that your domain transfer was cancelled
due to the reason mentioned below.

Domain Name : XXXXXX.com
Transferred for : 1 year(s)
Transfer Order ID : XXXXXX
Credit Card/ Funds Transaction ID : CODE-FUNDS

Reason for Cancellation :
Canceled - domain contacts did not respond to verification e-mail

A notification has also been sent to Namecheap support to refund this
cancelled transfer. The amount will be added to you Namecheap account
within a few minutes. In rare situations, it might take upto 24-48 hours
for the refund to be available in your account. Once available, You can
use those funds to easily resubmit the transfer if wish to do so.

Please contact support@Namecheap.com if you have any problems or
questions and we will be happy to assist you.

It clearly states you didn't answered to the transfer email, why is that so? It is my domain name and not yours. I really hate the way you do business here and i'm fed up with you, i'm exhausted of working with you, so you either tell me you don't give a **** or you help me.

Then the guy answered (at 100%):

NameCheap.com provided you with the following cancellation cancellation:

Canceled - domain contacts did not respond to verification e-mail

Visit to look at your domain name registration record http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois....s.com&email=on - who's contact information on there as the registrant????? What makes you think the email came to us?

You can the contact on the record and all email should go to you. If namecheap is sending email to our information which appears as the admin contact, then we do not monitor that mailbox.

Look, we've had enough of your threats. We've done nothing but to be assisting to you. So for all I care - you can do whatever you want to do!

Email: support@dailyrazor.com

Which i answered:

Hello Anthony,

What you are trying to do Anthony is despicable, DailyRazor.com is using Enom.com for domain name registration, what you say is totally meaningless, you are the registrar. Now if you don't want to agree on the transfer, you better say it instead of going around like that yada yada yada yada...

Which they answered:

Hello,

We have forwarded the issue to the respective personal. Please standby for their response.

Thank you,

From what I can see, the transfer authorization email should be sent to your(?) hotmail address?

I'd suggest that you check your spam/junk-mail folders in hotmail as these messages often end up there.

Better still, I'd recommend changing the registrant email address to some non-hotmail address that you have, and then re-initiate the transfer request.

It doesn't actually look like DailyRazor are blocking this transfer..?

Well you are right Damien, i should have received the mail on my mailbox, i don't know why i didn't received it wtf, hotmail sucks.

Also let me say again that it took me 15 days to get the EPP code with those guys and i initiated the transfer with that domain 15 days before i get hte EPP code and it took 15 days more to finally START the transfer and i swear i received NO MAIL whatsoever about domain transfer.

I will re-initiate the transfer, see how it goes like, i'm having more issues with them than domain transfer and that upsets me really really really much.

If i have to struggle like all the time to get an EPP code or to know what is refundable and what is not with a hosting, lol i will quit webmastering

I'm not hosting techie, i'm a designer that's all i am, anyway i guess they saw those threads, they hurried the process of giving me back the money for several of my accounts (that i cancelled, for some of them, more than 30 days ago) this morning, so i'm happy.

I just have to initiate the transfer, and move all the other sites i have with them to a new hosting then i can finally rest

I believe that hotmail obey the SPF rules set for a domain, and therefore if the domain transfer email was sent "from" some address with SPF, but not from an allowed mailserver according to those rules, hotmail may kindly move it to your junk mail folder.

I don't think even they actually delete the email?

As I said, I'd recommend using some other address that you have full control over - if you have one available.

Out of interest, would you mind sharing which host you're moving to?
