Calling all vBulletin/IPB website owners !

I`m on the process of launching a new vBulletin/IPB enhanced hosting service, to minimize load times and offer a vBulletin/IPB enriched environment with caching options and low usage optimizations for faster response.

How many of your owners would go for such a service ? How many would be interested in such a service ?

PS. I`d like the ones who posted on the poll to send a small idea of why they would go/not go with such a service.

Sounds pretty specialized. I think your target would have to be current (and hopefully dissatisfied) vBulletin owners. Een newbie vBulletin owners probably wouldn't see the need for a specialized service until they've been through a few hosts they've been disappointed with.

I want to launch this service because I know how hard it is to run a forum, and not get closed down because of high usage that the forum might generate. With these aditions, loads to the servers drop and the forum will respond faster. There are lots of hosters where you can host a vBulletin/IPB forum, but not all have specialized additions to make your forum go faster.

Sounds like a good idea. You just have to figure out how to hit those users who want it.

Yeah, I just need to see if users would go for it. I will launch it anyway, but am doing a small survey

What kind of technical features are you going to provide? How are you going to build the caching into each hosting account.

To me the solutions look very generic. What type of guarantee are you going to provide? Liek say, if a forum takes 1% CPU in host A, your server will experience half of it? I would like to hear the technical details and guarantee, before jumping into something specially made for VB.

BTW, I own a VB forum with 6 million+ page views a month. It is stretching the limits of a top end dedicated server, but I would like to know what you are going to offer in shared hosting.

Well, each client can opt now for a cache daemon that being memcache, that is also now tweaked to support muti-threading. Each daemon has a prealloted usage of RAM, and each daemon process is restricted to being used by it`s sole account owner ( thus users will not be able to use other users daemons ). Multiple daemons can be bought, and it is known that vBulletin does work well with multi daemons, if tweaked good.
