superuser.net is still awful

I should probably say hi, but meh. I found here googling "superuser complaints" oddly enough. I figured I'd toss my story in, and seeing I didn't want to necro a post that was necro'd a few months back, I would toss a new one up.

A few domains owned by people in this house where taken out under superuser due to the cheap price. Big mistake. Mine has had horrible uptime, and early this year it suddenly vanished! Guess what? They didn't renew it. They billed us, took our money, didn't renew the domain. Needless to say about 3 weeks of fighting DotRegistrar we finally have the account to access it now and can move on to a better server, but gah its horrible. You can't contact them. Ever. (Superuser, not dotregistrar) We've tried by phone and email, they go unanswered. Worst waste of time and money. Somehow, the webserver keeps reverting back to March 9th 2007 aswell! How lovely is that, especially with PHP that runs on servertime. Now onto the fun part, some of the other domains in this house, ALSO didn't get renewed! Best part is DotRegistrar didn't fork them over as easy and now a company in Hong Kong has them and is trying to resell them to us for more than they are worth! Oh what fun this is.

Sorry for the rant, I needed it out of my system.

I had a site host with this superuser.net. Here is what my best experience with them:

March 21, 2007, it's servers dated back to March 11-2007.
After that, every 10 days it's server time sets lback another 10 days.
As a result, on May-2007 my site was no longer working due to over bandwidth limit. Now is June 2007, it's clock is still March- 2007.

I gave up on this guy after a month trying to contact for support.
I gave up on fighting to get my half years of servive credit.
I gave up on my data, I had to use one of my backup to get my site back online at another hosting service.

LUCKY ME, I did not have my Domain name at their service otherwise they would steal my domain as they did to my half year of hosting service.

So my advice to any who trying to host at this superuser.net is do a search on Google: "superuser.net review" then read them very carefull !!!

I know of atleast 5 domains from family/people family do websites for that got jacked thanks to superusers death grip on them with dotregistrar, then when they expired some company in Korea got them. I manged to get my domain transfered over to me with a *lot* of fighting with DotRegistrar, and now a friend is giving me hosting.
