Need advice: dedicated server choice

hello

going to make an order, but don't know which one ?
On this server will be File Hosting Site (File.am), which work on php/mysql, so it's not just direct downloads/upload, there is server load/

version 1.

- AMD Athlon XP 2000+
- 512MB DDR Memory
- 120GB EIDE Hard Drive
- 1500GB Traffic per month
- 100Mbit Connection
Monthly Price: $*** USD
Setup Fee: Free of Charge!

version 2.
# Cel 1.8 Ghz (while supplies last)
# 512 GB Ram
# 80 GB
# 6 ips
# 1500 GB monthly bandwidth 10Mbps switch port, $0/setup

price is the same
both are self -managed and located in usa.

unfortunately don't know, which one ?

any advice will be appreciated

I think that you should use server with 100Mbit Connection. So If were you I'd rather go vwith the first one.

I completely agree with DennisBerc. If you are going to run a server with expected high traffic, then you will definitely going to require a fast bandwidth connection.

Get the 100Mbps version.

Be cautious that 512 ram is very low. Depending on how your file downloads work I have seen some that cache the file into ram if possible during the download and the end result is alot of ram usage. If your ram is tied up in file download cache your fileserver OS will end up swapping OS files to the drive causing it to be able to support less simultanious connections.
