Help...Nameservers...etc....
Ok, someone else might have posted this, but I am posting it anyway...If they have sorry, and please direct me to the thread....
I have a domain hosted at dnbuy.com, and a hosting account at another web site. The person whom is hosting it gave me these two nameservers:
ns1.24host-2.net
ns2.24host-2.net
I set those as the nameservers for my domain name over at dnbuy.com...Nothing happens when I go to my website..(mystery250.com)... Except for The page can not be displayed page.... I am also having problems with the Cpanel...Doesnt seem like too much is working correctly....If you can help, let me know....Thanks.

Your DNS seems to have propagated, but the server admin might need to do a DNS clean up and restart the DNS server, because it's not properly handling the DNS right now. Don't really know why.
I'd contact the server admin.

Heh, I noticed that much.... I will give it a while to resolve...Some things can resolve with domain names by themselves, if given proper time... So, I will give it a few more hours....

You can set your proxy nameservers to the server's IP, and view your site that way. It just lets you view your site without having to wait for the DNS to propagate.

Nod, I can just use the (ns1.24host-2.net) to go to it. Heh, I am very inexperienced with this matter.... Also, shrug, I am having problems getting anything at all set up and running on the host, can't even get that phpBB set up, with the control panel(tools menu in Cpanel)....Shrug. Just shows it would be at mystery250.com/forums, or whatnot, that doesnt work, nor does ns1.24host-2.net/forums. Sorry if I am getting irratating, but I am just trying to figure this out.

Is this domain on a seperate hosting account than the nameservers? Im a bit confused as to what you mean when you say this.

Are the name servers you list given to you by the host for the domain or a different host?

Ok, let me rephrase that for you..... I have the domain registered at Dnbuy.... And hosting set up(which I am going to use for the domain name, and those were the two nameservers the admin there gave me to use)....

Oh ok.
How long has it been since you changed the domain entries with your registrar to reflect the domain names given by your host?
It will take between 12 - 72 hours for the dns to resolve globally.

I changed the 'nameservers' for the domain name, about...three days ago, the same day the domain was registered, the 19th of march.

Well a whois turns up your domain with the correct dns listings so to me the problem will reside with your host and their acutal dns entry as JS described in the first place.
Contact your host and ask them to verify your DNS listing as your domain is not resolving properly even though a whois lookup shows the right domain names.

Host.
The registrar has done what they need to because when I do a whois look up on yoru domain you can see above the proper DNS servers are being pointed toward the right places.

Dns is set up in their server
I did a "dig" on their server and the NS record is there. That is what is supposed to be there.
Do they know that they are hosting your domain name/website?
If they do know that, then log in to your cPanel and set up your website. Everything else is working.
Go to: http://us.mirror.menandmice.com/cgi-...e=ANY&recur=on
and view the records. They are correct.
