I think the OP should check with freewebspace.net/forums but I would suggest always go for paid one.

I see this is older but I would do a vague search in google for webmaster forums with a freebie area. One big one out there wont give them any plugs but people there offer free hosting all the time. Might work for you to build your site on a free plan then once its running move to the paid server. This way your not throwing away money while "learning html" and designing a site

Well, I think one month free trial is just enough to get acquaintance with a provider if you opt for a paid service.

For low price, I can recommend Hostnine.com - if you need a dedi I would go for softlayer.com

Better avoid free host. These days its very easy to find many cheap and reliable hosts like indyahozting.com and many more. Its because, the response for any issue will be quicker from the paid host than a free host.

For forum it is not suitable for using a free host coz when the members are growing and it will cause limited bandwidth

"a good free host"? I don't think you will get good one. you need to know you will get what you pay for it... also most of free one will require to put their ads.. also no guarantee on the service..

I would recommend to go with paid one.

You are absolutely correct. It's advisable to go with cheap hosting companies instead of free host.

One of the cheapest plans is the one from webhostingbuzz.com with software scripts installed.
