transferring http links to ftp

got this problem. tried to transfer files via http links directly to my ftp server. looked all over the forums and did not really find anything useful. this service directransfer.net allows that. did anyone meet any other good scripts or webb aopps that also do that?

yep. assume you get an http link to a file and you want to download it directly to your ftp server without first downloading it to your hard drive and then uploading back to the ftp server. that's what i mean. it comes handy when you cannot access a hard drive on a computer or when you do not want to waste your traffic, and the speed of your unternet is slow, etc.

Yup WGET.

You can use it to get all file types from a dir. too, or just all files in general, etc. Great utility.
