are they affiliated with gatorcorp, and gain publishing?????if so no need to answer the next question.

do you think they would be a good re-seller??

Personally I'm not familiar with the company but I would stay away from them just because of the "closely sounding" relation to that bad rep gator adware has.

mind you...gator is in NY, hostgator is in Florida....but that means nothing...

in the FAQ's the first question was

Q. Will you place ads on my site?
A. HostGator will NOT place ads on your site.

sounds gatory to me.......but the have great plans, and every possible piece of software you could use to make a site?????

still iffy on them .......

ANYone else dealt with them ???

I use Initialhost.com, they are one of the best, I used to use HostGator, they told me they owned Gain publishing. I wouln't use them

sorry to bump up an old topic, but I was really thinking of going with hostgator for some services until I read this thread. I did some digging and couldn't find the connection anywhere. Finally I got one of their operators on the line who told me hostgator was a completely independent hosting company.

This is the only site that comes up in a google search of hostgator and "gain publishing" and I think we're wrong on this one... just an unfortunate name. They get fantastic reviews everywhere else on the internet.
