domain registration from a2hosting.com

I have visited the web site of A2hosting.com because I want to reg a domain with them. But seeing their prices (starting from $12.95 per year for .com and higher) have a question now and wanna know more info about domain transfer. Why should I pay money for domain transfer of some domain (for example, .com, .biz, .net, etc.) and shouldn't pay for the others? Can anybody explain to me the reason of it?

Simple advice, use godaddy or namecheap for domain. Dont use a hosting company for domain registration they will simply be a reseller or might tie up the domain with your hosting, which is bad.

Namecheap is a reseller of enom... most ppl who sell domains are resellers unless you go with the big ones.

I suggest and use enom

I don't see any reasons not to register your domains with a2hosting.com if their domaining services are good enough and a domain is registered in your name.
To the OP: a2hosting.com charges for transfer of every extension, they just don't have all the figures on their site. I think it's better to ask their sales rep about pricing.

Namecheap may be a very successful choice without a doubt also.

Transfer where? A2hosting.com seems a rock stable company. If you reg a domain with them I don't see any reasons to transfer it anywhere else. Why don't host your domain with them?

.com is about $12.95, I think a2hosting.com have raised their prices, as it's more expensive than in other providers' price lists.
