Your experiance with WestNIC + WestNIC Review

I have been with WestNIC a while now and have to say I'm neither impressed or unimpressed.

I hosted with HostGator for about a year and got absolutely excellent support and was really happy with it, except for one thing. They didn't offer overselling on their accounts. So in look for another host I decided to go for a host that did offer it. I found WestNIC. The company offers a fantastic reseller package for a great price (IMO) and everything was looking good.

The account was setup very fast, everything was transfered over, and in general it is good. Uptime is brilliant, in fact I don't think my site has ever gone offline while using them.

For the package, reliability, uptime, server, all the actual physical stuff, WestNIC are fantastic.

However, when it comes to support I am extremly not impressed. Now this is probably just because I am used to amazing support from my previous host, who actually answers my questions in detail and in a timely fashion, so it might be unfair to compare a bog standard company to another good host, but I do.

Now! I say things as I feel and in a support ticket said that:
"You can create packages with unlimited values, simply avoid word "unlimited". You've already created packages with 99999 disk space etc. There is no need to discuss anything other than "packages/unlimited values" in this particular ticket. If you feel that someone provides better service, simply sign up with them. We live in free countries - you can cancel at any time "

What sort of a company tries to throw their customers away :S If I was the owner of a host company, I would appologise to the customer, explain that the company just doesn't allow unlimited values, and then thank them for hosting with them.

So all in all, this host is absolutly amazing in it's package, what it has to offer, uptime and the servers they use can handle everyday tasks really well.

But when it comes to support and helping their customers, I seriously think a two year old could provide better.

I'll be sticking with them because the package is good, but once my sites start making more money, I'll be on my way to a hostgator dedicated server

Has anyone else had a good experience with them or bad?

That post was taken down as was many negitive in this post friend of that sites owner. stopped doing it since i told him his site will not last long by censoring neg posts about westnic.

These people or should i say 1 employee owner Mike, himself reseller of softlayer, hence you do not fast support. The address is false, business name in paypal rich media interactive false.

They cut off my 44 sites without notice they were fully paid up said because i cancelled my paypal i had no choice, because of fraud. Then they did not send invoice, i have new paypal and are know blackmailing me to pay $10 late fee or they will not release my data, my incoming is suffering badly.

There are many more, they treat people will total contempt are rude, when told truth over the telephone, slam it down, call you dishonest, same guy answers, these are skype numbers, not listed address is post office box, not office as claimed. I have 3 other hosting accounts never had these problems.

My lawyer can find no information they only exist on this website.

GET AWAY FAST IF YOU HAVE SENSE, BEFORE THEY DO THE SAME TO YOU, REVIEWS ARE FULL OF SCARE STORIES. SITES REMOVED WITH OUT NOTICE. I WILL BE HAPPY TO SHOW. THIS MAN MIKE DENIES BEING OWNER SOUNDS RUSSIAN. HE ACTS LIKE MAFIA. SLANDERS, INSULTS YOU. " LETS BE FAIR IF YOUR CUSTOMER SAID WERE IS YOUR SITE GONE FIRST YOU KNEW. WOULD YOU THANK HIM ?

I am closing this ticket as resolved. You're arrogant, rude and dishonest person. There is no place for such customers here. Your accounts will be terminated for non payment on May 12, 2008.

Please do post about Westnic as much as you can. Even negative review will drive a lot of traffic, attention and generate additional sales. Please keep in mind that we may (or may not) respond to your hosting reviews since you failed to pay on time (past due account viegin.com, no Paypal funds, 04/12/200. Visitors must know that we disconnected your websites for non payment according our Terms of Service singed by you, Stephen Hurley, on February 12, 2008.

Once again: your websites will be terminated by May 12, 2008.
