Find out what a poor job they did with security - remember if they hack the server your site is gone or up for grabs - including your data in the database. Hell you may be hacked and don't know it - they may be hacked already and thats Not good

Here is a good used to be open source program (security scanner) to actually check how bad the host is before you strap yourself in. Ok they're trying to sell it now but you can use the online demo.

Want to check a bunch - Do a google search "Nessus rapidshare" for the free open source version - it's floating around out there - Be careful - you may knock the server offline if you run full tests - seen it done

The security issues says about the company itself. Once you had doubt you'd bertter not sighn up.
But at the same time your doubts might be vain.
