Need a webhost based on certain critera

Hello!

I'm looking for a good webhost based on my criteria:

1. 99+% uptime
2. Easy webdesigning (no template-based), especially HTML (quite basic)
3. Free shopping cart w/ SSL.
4. Easy to use mailing list manager (includes easy optin/out link, change details link, etc.).
5. Scripts for add'l use near future, like a blog.

Bottom line, a website to generate mailing list/s, take credit card orders, and other possible stuff in the future.

that narrows it down a little, just about every host out there, offers that, so you won't have a hard time finding one.

luck,
robert

Okay, my articles and my main ebook are ready. Now I
just need a good hosting provider.

The provider I seek must meet my criteria:

1. Good uptime (uptime > 98%)
2. Reasonable bandwitdh (bw > 5G)

Actually I'm in doubt regarding #2. Of course it depends
on how many people I expect to visit my site.

What's a reasonable amount when starting out?

3. Easy to use mailing list manager (features must include
optin/optout/edit details link, personalized messaging,
& HTML signup form maker to include in upcoming site).

4. Free shopping cart w/ Secure Server Layer for safe &
secure credit card order processing.

5. Built-in affiliate management software to allow people
to become affiliates, create affiliate links, & track them.

6. Add'l scripts to add on in the near future like a blog.

7. Reasonable pricing, of course.

Bottom line, I need a good webhost with at least a good
mailing list manager and a shopping cart w/ SSL for order
processing. The rest are optional though very helpful.

Any takers? Thanks.

I pitty the host that cant provide that.

That shoudl be very easy to find. For example our starter plan includes 50Gigs of bandwidth.

I would be willing to bet most hosts will have preinstalled on the server a program called mailman. It has to be the MOST popular mailing list manager around. Very powerful aswell. Of course there is nothing keeping you from finding a script that fits your needs to a "T" and installing it. You will end up being responsible for incorprating the signup code into yoru site.

While you can find free shopping cart software fiarly easily a free SSL is going to limit you to either a Self signed ssl. Or a shared SSL or your going to be paying for a certified SSL. Self signed SSL's and shared SSL's dont look to professional when it comes to a retail site.

Again probably a script your going to need to find and incorporate into your site.

Again a script you should find and install yourself. hosts that offer 'fantastico' will have the ability to install 30+ scripts at a click of a few buttons. I know from experence there are 4 or 5 blog scripts you can pick from. I cant recall if there are any affiliate scripts. I know there are some shopping scripts aswell. But still its nothing that you couldnt install on your own.
