HG is one of the most reliable among the shared hosting companies that oversell

I do not use hostgator, because some of my friends say that speed load is not good

I don't know your friends. But as per my experience many newbies do stupid mistakes and blame others. For examples:

- They will upload files to the root (not web root i.e. outside www / public_html folder) and blame hosting company for not showing the files.

- Design site with huge image file size (say 1 mb per image x 10 images) then they blame hosting company for slow server speed as those files loads very fast on their own computer (using local copy) but very slow on internet.

- They would purchase hosting package but don't set name servers. Because they had no idea that they have to point the nameservers to hosting company nameservers to see their site online. But they would blame hosting company for not showing their website, after 48hrs of placing order.

These are just examples.

Been using hostgator for 7 months and zero downtime. However, when you renew your term, you pay full premium for monthly hosting... which comes out to $15 or so a month for the business package. You get what you pay for though.

I use hostgator now for more than 6 months, and they have been amazing for me, there shared hosting is best option for small or medium size websites or forums.

Even they have great uptime, so if you follow there hosting tos, definitely you will not face any issues with them and they have instant support aswell. Only they dont work during weekends. Rest monday to friday they are always available through live chat, forum aswell as phone support.

What do you mean by "What you are buying"? Hostgator's TOS are not bad. I have been with them for over a year and hardly ever had any problems with them. Their uptime is good, so is support, they are cheap and their features are also good. What else anyone would want?

Hostgator is better than most of them because there are no headaches with hosting with hostgator.
