Personally me do not deal with the large companies because sometimes **it happens, moreover I have repeatedly heard that hostmonster sghould be avoided for their sucky service and support...

However, because I do not have any personal experience with any of those, I can be mistaken.... But I have personal experience with other companies. If I know exactly what type of hosting do you need, I will name that one which, to my mind, will be the best suit...

Still, suspecting you need shared hosting I shall take an attempt to help and recommend you ayksolutions.com for it - this company provides very cheap shared packages being though very reliable and stable.
Or...there are tens of other good companies to choose... anyway, good luck!

Good luck!

I agree completely. I've been with their sister company Bluehost for over a year. Their support, the few times that I've needed it, has been terrific.

I have hosting with both of them, and found out hostgator service uptime is far better.

hostgator $4.95
hostmonster $4.95

Try to get few days for testing from both of them. Test and decide. I have heard a lot of both as good as bad things...

Hostgator and Hostmonster are both top companies competing for position one. Whichever you choose you will be satisfied with their services.

I have tested both and would place hostgator above hostmonster. HG has got better uptime and support.

Same here. I've had nothing but great experiences with Hostmonster.

I'm not saying HostGator is bad, but I just never had hosting with them.

HostGator provides better value than HostMonster since you get the same features for less money.
HostGator offers month to month web hosting with their Baby plan, $9.95 billed monthly and comes with unlimited space, unlimitedtraffic, and unlimited email accounts. If you have average hosting needs, you can buy cheaper hosting at HostGator versus HostMonster. It is more competitive with HostMonster's all-inclusive hosting package which is priced at $6.95.

Bluehost / Hostmonster undoubtedly have one the best marketing campaigns in the web hosting industry. But to equate their growth rate to the quality of service they provide definitely remains to be seen. Many Bluehost / Hostmonster customers both past and present are not happy with the quality of service that have received.

Both of them have lots of the reviews on the different forums and sites. You can go with HG and in a month switch to the HM and compare your feelings.
Hope that helps.

They are both very good competition for the hosting industry and for them selves as well.
Hostgator has been around for 6 years now and hostmonster was established in 1999.
this gives the experience edge to hostmonster, but definately hostgator has a lot of charm.
its difficult to compare both, try evaluating what you want and what both the hosting companies provide, and maby youll find the host you want.

I have heard that hostgator had doubtful reputation and would to draw your attention to MMhosting.com, exmasters.com and lunarpages.com - you know, the comparison will show you what is better.
