Anyone hear of hand in hand computing?

Ok, as my post count will show, I'm new here. The reason I'm posting this is because I've been burned by several hosting companies in the last year. The amazing thing is, that I've never seen bad reports of the host until I join, then all hell breaks lose.

You could look at my last post, and you could see that I was a webhostingboy victim, and I also went with E-Starr (Whom at the time actually had a good plan.) Both times I got royally screwed, and lost out on my money.

Now the point of this post is that I've stumbled upon this site: http://www.handinhandcomputing.com And I was wondering considering you folk seem to have a large knowledge of hosts, if you've heard anything about them. I was refered to them by findmyhosting, which moniters uptimes and stuff like that, but I also went through webhostingboy from that search engine. So I'm kind of in a quandry here about what to do, as I dont enjoy getting ripped off, yet I have some pretty demanding needs for hosting.

First off I have 6 domains, and most plans only offer 5 addon domains.
One of them really pushes the limit of being considered an adult site, from the content, and then I get extrordinary traffic that usually exceeds 20gigs a month. So I was just curious to your opinions on the matter considering I think in no joking manner that you are all-knowing in the ways of hosting, and hosting-like matters.

I have also been burned by http://www.flashhostings.com, and I was also wondering about the validity on this place, as it also looks too good to be true. Is anyone able to help?

I go through them. I sort of landed there after the whole Eryxma debacle. And the Glexicon debacle. And then the Gigabytz thing.

But I've been with Hand In Hand for a few months now, and at most my page has been "unavailable" for five minutes. Which I can handle.

They've also been responsive to questions I've had, even helping me with email issues that were more my ISPs problem than theirs.

They are legit. The only worry you may have is if you exceed your bandwidth, it can be a little pricey. But you get 15 gigs to play with, so it hopefully won't be an issue.

one thing about yearly payments is that say you dont like them and you want to change well you can't because you have already payd for the year. thats why before i was a host i never went with yearly plans.

I guess that could be an issue, if you decide after the trial period. But normally you get a feel for the webhost within that time.

How much hosting are you looking for in terms of Space & Bandwidth?

What I do is to search the news groups and see what people say about a host before deciding.

Generally, you want to see that the company has been operating for many years from the date of the post.
