Joomla has worked well for me. I've developed sales support sites for insurance companies using it.

The only negative I can think of is that the back-end is not intuitive for unsophisticated end-users when compared to WordPress. But the WordPress doesn't have the community that Joomla currently enjoys.

Give ExpressionEngine a try...

Great community, easy to extend and a top-notch back-end.

Hank,

Why do you think you need a CMS?

What do you want it to do?

From a user's point of view, there's no more hassle to call the webmaster because even a non technical person can do it.

You can also try ModX, its a bit tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it'll be easy.

Hi ,

I prefer Joomla / Drupal, both are best CMS in the world.

There are lot of components , modules are available. Moreover you can add additioanl features in the site later stage without affecting other functionalities.

Soman.

I would recommend Joomla. I have tried many others, but just find Joomla to be the best.

Another vote for Joomla. A slightly steeper learning curve but you can do so much more after.

Both Joomla and Drupal have some advantages as well as some disadvantages.
We have to choose any one of the CMS based on our requirement.
