Not knowing what you are doing, it is hard to say. But, I would start with clear and then work from blue to red. I do not understand why the clear and colored versions have the double avatars.

single image (male or female)

guest - black
menber lowest level - crystal
next level - violet

...

moderators - gold
Admin - red

Icons are for a community site where members join as:

- single males
- single females
- male / male couples
- male / female couples
- female / female couples

Please dont concern yourself to much with the different colours, they represent different membership levels and we already have in place the colours that will be used. I am just trying to get simple feedback to wether or not you can tell a male icon from a female icon, or if it is too subtle.

Thanks

Hi,

As long as you are going to have a text description next to the icons (which I think would be needed anyway) then I think the current icons are ok, but people will probably not pay alot of attention to them. (I can tell the difference between the male and female versions) maybe a bit small.

there are some international and commonly accepted signs for genders, such as a fella shown just as a plain figure and a chick shown as a person with a little skirt-like shape around the waist are. Or a triangle pointing down for males and a circle for females. The only problem is showing the relationships. Perhaps some little figures involved in sexual positions would help express that

Are the top right 6 icons supposed to be different? I can see which are male and female but looks like they are repeats.

Otherwise, these icons are just about big enough for me so I would they are just the right size as I am on a 1280x1024 on 17 inch monitor.
