I really think that Opera is the best for speed but can get stuck some times in processing images. Firefox is good, but if you use alot of addons, it can get pretty boged up. As for IE, I know it sucks some times, but most sites are designed for it ( meaning you can see it how it really looks ) against the Firefox feeling. As for speed, you can tweak each of them so you get the max out of them.

K melion is the fastest for me. I don't use it for browsing, just testing but it leaves Opera & firefox in the dust.

It's not the question which browser is the fastest, but which one has the fastest work-flow...

for me: FF2 (or 3 beta)

And other things to include in workflow?: how vulnerable does the browser make my computer to garbage code?

cleaning up all trash also needt to be taken into account.

I laugh at stubborn IE users who first surf to , for instance, wiki, sometimes first through google, and then can start typing their search query, while in firefox i just type it right away in the corner.
FF starts to slow for them, they say, 30 seconds later they arrive at destination.

I was in 5 to 10secs, even if starting up took twice the time... (1 instead of 1/2 of a second)

not to mention using the same search query on a few different sites...
or saving a load of tabs to continue tomorrow...
