Accessible to the Blind

Hi,
My site is W3c validated but is it usable? I am blind and need your imput!

For a sighted person, it looks ok.

But, the TAW accessibility test (http://www.tawdis.net/ Don't worry the main page of the site is not English, the results have English notes) is showing some things that need attention for those who use assistive technology to surf the web and those who have poor vision. The test also shows some usability issues for sighted people as well as visually impaired like opening some of you links in a new window.

You might want to join WebAIM's mailing list (http://webaim.org/discussion/). There are accessibility experts there and some blind members also. Just let them know you are visually impaired so they know why you are asking questions about things sighted people can see.

What I remember from working on a web page for a blind user is that I have to make sure to give text descriptions to not only images, but also any interactive content. You never know what could happen if you don't...
