Javascript code to speed up background image loading

I know that there's a little javascript code that will help render the background images faster or at least not display them rendering...

it goes "onLoad...etc.," I've been googling for the past hour trying to find it with no avail...

The best bet is perhaps to optimize your images as much as you can, adding more code to load images doesn't seem to be great at optimization. Also don't forget that once your visitors have cached your site you won't have as many issues.

It is called a Preload images script. e.g. Cut & Paste Preload images script

As Dan said, it is better to optimize your images instead plus as he also said, the browser caches the repeat images so there is no real benefit preloading images on each page (which people who use this do).
