How many people have quicktime these days?

Nowadays I don't use quiktime anymore. I use media classic and KM player. They can play most of the media formats.

Quicktime still fills many of my needs. I do a lot of video-oriented things for which QT is an excellent solution.

I ABHOR quicktime....and i'm not even sure that's a strong enough word. I have it only because i have to - but i hate how it bugs me continuously and tries to put things in my startup. boo.

quicktime suckz!! there are free codecs on the web that can play media files without the quicktime..

Its a pain in the Ar~e so i dont use it plus I never find a need to on the web these days. Scrap quick time for good thats what I say

I was just gonna say that I haven't seen or used realplayer for years... but then I noticed that this thread has been resurrected after a couple years of dormancy...

Flash video is the best way to go these days.

Also... regarding iTunes, I used to hate it until I found out about iTunes radio... now that's all I listen too for the most part.

I use QT because I'm a broadcast video editor.

For websites, however it is Flash/Shockwave for displaying video.

I really like quicktime..
Much more user friendly than windows media.. my pet hate is real player! mainly because they hide the link to the free player sooo deep into the site, and advertise the paid player on every page to try and wear you down.

Ok, i dont like the fact that you have to instal quicktime with itunes.. but it makes sense as you can now view dowloaded quicktime content within itunes, so they must be using quitime as the engine.

I guess it depends if your a mac or pc user as well.. it seems every mac user loves it - its already installed rom day 1, windows users mmay be forced to instal it and may resent that..
