Image load times
images load up faster if they are cut up right?

for example if i have an image that is 400 pix tall, and i cut it in half and make it 2 200 pix tall images, that would load faster then the origional?

is that correct, thanks

I think that it just makes it look like it's loading faster since you can see the parts of it appear as is loads, but maybe I'm wrong.

partly right Distorted, the other advantage is that most browsers will download several images simultaneously, so you make the best use of fast connections.
