Firebug?

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can learn how to use firebug. I have a page I am meant to debug, JavaScript, and I am not sure how to use it.

I'm sorry but I don't have Firebug installed on this machine, I don't even have Mozilla Firefox, but a simple Google search has ended up with a video on Javascript debugging.

Not sure if it's all true, but it's the best I can personally do without it on my machine.

Hi again Dan,
Yes, I came across that but it must be out of date as the tabs in the program showing the video tutorial are different. They have a debug tab. my firebug does not. I don't know why, the program has evolved. I am watching it now though and will continue and see what it has to offer. Still stumped. I generally seem to take forever to get anywhere which is a bit of a nuisance but I guess it is just me.

Argh sorry then. As I say i'm not a keen Mozilla user at the moment so I don't have much knowledge on Firebug. Perhaps ask on Mozilla Development Forums or somewhere.

No worries Dan. Oh cool.. Thanks TheFriend, I have just watched the tut. Not helpful. Mind you I am no Ace at JavaScript. Will have a look at the links now. It will probably take me 5 hours to learn a two minute process.

1st site I have visited and sorry to say was not helpful. Second site is more of a blog than a 'this is how to use this program'.

Usually how it goes though. Never mind. I'll keep on looking and thanks for your suggestions.
