Easiest ad program

If I have a decently ranked website that gets a fair amount of traffic, what is the best program to sign up for to get payments, for say banner ads for example? Is that kind of program still around? Back in the day I know people made some money from them.

banners pay peanuts - $5 eCPM is good

adsense should pay round about $20 eCPM if you create content based on search phrases where there are many adwords advertisers outbidding each other for ad spots on the content network

obviously adwords requires a "money" site theme like finance, investing, or some other hot topic where there's money to be made by the advertisers - could be product based such as ipod, laptops, etc.

You can sell ad spaces based on a monthly price to advertisers using buysellads.com. I've never signed up or personally used them, but I see a lot of successful blogs using it. I think you might have to have very good traffic to be accepted into their program though.

Otherwise, AdSense is the one I've had the best experience with. $100 checks from Google are always nice, and on time.

Adsense monthly payments over $1,000 are even better - I'm getting them now that I create lots of blog posts daily for finance/investing market sector

Adsense pays even around $15 per click for high paying keywords.

$15 dollar adsense clicks are not realistic

Advertisers won't bid $30 for ads displaying on the content network

The high bid prices are for ads on google's search results pages

$5 dollars and under are the best we can expect, even for high bid price markets like online casino, finance, investing, insurance, etc. - I know, as they are the type of sites I build
