Wich advertisement company do you use?

hi there,

I know a lot of people here own free websites wich are sponsored. I was wondering wich sponsor you use? I have been using AdSense lately and it works great for me, but I would like to know if there are other options that work even better.

I think adsense in general pays more than any other ad or affiliate program. With other programs you'll be lucky to grab a few dollars a year, but adsense can sometimes be (somewhat) profitable for even low traffic sites.

I've used a combination of findwhat, overture and adwords. Findwhat targets different smaller SE's. You can get a better ROI with findwhat but the traffic is not as good as overture and adwords. The only thing I don't like is the approval process for new keywords. Sometimes it takes them days and at times they deny good keywords if they don't feel it's appropriate. The problem there is that they don't always know your product for them to be making that type of decision.

I have a client that sells "DISC" products and we targeted disc as one of their keywords and they rejected it because the client did not sell CD-ROM discs. After a week and a half of emails and debating the issue they finally accepted it. Other than that it's ok but not as good as overture or adwords.

Depends on the type of site and services you offer. I stopped using adsense because I was losing customers/visitors. Sometimes you get competitors in your ads. I rather make the sale than lose a customer to another because they found something interesting in the ads.

Networking and word-of-mouth is the best option if you ask me.

I use AdSense. Affiliate programs can pay off if you have relevant content/visitors.

How true that is. I get $250.00 everytime someone signs up for interland hosting from my website. Figure out your target audience and sign up for relevant affiliate programs.

Good point DOS.

I am considering signing up with adsense, i have never tried it....been relying on banner impressions, forum advertising and word of mouth!

Adsense is the best one no doubt. There payout is also good but yes it is true that sometimes the ads of a competitor firm is displayed and one can loose out customers.

Remember Everyone!!!!

You can filter out competition in the adsense control panel, just enter the domains of a load of your competition and you will get less competition. For example, i have adsense on my hip-hop forum, i have filtered out any competition and now it comes up with hip-hop clothing etc. So you dont lose out on ppc!

Good Luck!
