Cash Flow

One thing I have learned, sometimes the hard way, is the importance of having cash flow so that I am getting paid at regular intervals throughout the month. I prefer not to get all the money at once, but instead I try to make it so customers pay at different times. This has really made managing my money a lot easier. What are you doing to keep a healthy cash flow?

My wife handles the money, so we're always ok!

But I need to hire a bill collector. I have three clients that owe me money ($10,000+).

Yes, I'm good at getting people to agree to pay, but not as good at getting them to actually send the money. I know the feeling.

I have just set up a system where my salary gets paid directly to my local pub. Cuts out the middle man and saves a lot of time.

computers can do all that?! lol.

I like auto deposit very much. My use if it is different the original question here.. but I set mine up to auto deposit into the IRA, Savings, and Checking. Then I give my self X amount of dollars per month for extra cirricular spending... (allowance basically)

might consider something along those lines.

I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has direct deposit to moe.

But as far as cash flow, it's just a matter of budgeting. If you have a good budget and stick to it, it won't matter if you get paid once a month, or throughout the month. But sticking to a budget is probably the toughest thing, at least doing it the Dave Ramsey way.
