Creating sites is an ordeal for me. I can link, submit, do stuff to get my sites out there all day. If I had the same passion for building sites, I probably would have 1,000s

I will definitely want to talk to you about this

BTW I wan't referring to adsense sites. I hate those. They are the cancer to the web. And things will most likely change because of people polluting search results. My idea would be to create sites and partnering with professionals from the industries that your sites are about. 50/50. They provide knowledge and content, you do the backend. perfect symbiosis. I'm all about quality, just being able to create sites that are unique and good enough to stand on their own long term, that is key

If you have trouble making money with a site, you can always join the DigitalPoint co-op, and make sites just to get co-op weight and rent the weight out, once the site is out of the sandbox and has PR!!! I got a few poor quality AWS duplicate content sites that have about 20,000 weight each!! That's worth about $75-100 a month per site!

Quality over Quantity.

I prefer having a good # of "LARGE SITES" that are "HIGH" quality. And then building smaller, high quality sites that fit in with them

if you were to build 100 sites, would they be unique, or would you build 100 sites all about the same thing?

If they were all separate, couldn't you really just focus on one site with a ton of of different content sections/pages?

seems to me that there are some sites out there that seem to do very well and really aren't about any one topic. (or at least, have very very many sub-topics that would attract completly different visitors from the original intent.)

I agree, if you are inspired, then build your sites. If you're looking at it from a pure business motive, my advice is: do only a few sites, or even just one, and do it right!

It's easy to say "build a thousand sites!".

See?

Now get to work, Klaas!! Build a thousand sites, dammit!

I agree, and the other way around! There are a lot of things I want to try, but don't want to put on my corporate site because of the types of customers I have viewing it. It's an excellent place to practice/learn new languages as well.

It's an Ad Netword where your ads show up on other web sites. The fater you are (More weight your sites have.), the more your ads show up on thousands of other sites. It's a great way to get back-links and so on. You can rent your account out. Some people have web sites that they can't put in the network. So they rent other people accounts so they can advertise there site/get the search engines to find them.

You just have to give the renter access to the account and mention that the weight can change to do it.
